Hello..
I have several subwoofers for car and ht.
I have been using some of them in a sealed or ported box.
Few days ago, I tested one with plate amp in the open air.
It made some breaking noise (tatatata...) between 20 ~ 70 Hz.
The noise didn't come from the joints because I tested when I hold the unit with my arm.
I shocked and I tested the other woofers, which make same noise.
The excursion was around 50 % of Xmax, the units are not aged yet.
The units are 350 W rms, 1200 W rms, 1500 W rms, etc...
I don't have any clue why this happens.
Please help me....

im a noob... so please correct if im wrong....
i think the material dat u use resonates at the freq that the spkerz are blasting at... so u get audioable rattling...
u could use some foam to damp it...

Thank you for your reply.
I suspected that, but the noise occurred at quite wide range.
between 20 ~ 70 Hz.
All same sound..
