Hi Jeremy,
The specs posted are giving me some red lights when I enter them. And the reverse calculated SD/diameter I get is 18", is that an actual measurement? Is the WT2 calibrated? I only ask because I normally get accurate results from my WT2, and no red lights when I load the driver params. Thanks for posting these.

hey dan the sd is for when measured from half of surround to the other half which equals 18 inches, I also calibrate my wt2 every time I use it,I have measured this driver 3 times and I get slightly different
T/s each time which is odd. When I first got the driver it would measure a different re each time with a multimeter so maybe the driver is a bit wonky? Any idea what the xmax is? Looking thru the spider with a laser pen gives me the impression that it is pretty close to 10mm.
also when I did a power test on it .it seems to coast at 60v continuous 20hz sine time unlimited, but if I put 63 v continuous 20 hz sine it starts to stink after 5 minutes

isn't the 18sound 21" driver only $360? for consistency purposes i would choose the 18sound over the pyle IMO
I would too but I only had 200 dollars to spend at the time
The B&C 18PS100 is about $250 shipped. It's the one I'd choose anyway.

I take it the shipping would be a bit more to get to canada ? where is that price from?

From here:
BC 18PS100 18" 1400W Subwoofer
good luck.
i would not be suprised if it preforms verry wel.
keep us updated topshelf 🙂
why...do you know something we dont? 😀
gut feeling🙂
it probably wont handle to much power, but it might be ok soundwise.
of course its not compareble with an 18 sound /rcf ,b&c ect.

it will depend on how you use it
like, I have 12" woofers
and they never move, visibly
I have to use all of my 50watt to make them move at all
but way too loud for me
but bass is still very good at any SPL
so, what use do I have of long linear xmax, etc
I think most 'semi pro' woofers will have relatively 'light' cones(cheap)
but maybe exactly this might be of advantage to some
it all depends on the use
but one thing is sure
none or very few are optimized fore hifi
but if you are lucky, you actually may find a cheap one that suits your needs much better than the technically more advanced and expencive
depends
but a worse possible issue with cheap drivers could be poor assembling, and 'sloppy' quality control
Sorry guys, I revised my plans. A tapped horn for thhis driver is basically out of the question due to size and foldability for the response that I need. So I will be building a 6th order bandpass (280) litre that will suit my needs. When I get pictures I will post them.
Yes I have 1 driver and I have measured the T/s, Qts 0.67, fs 31.2 hz, sens 91.3 db. These r off the top of my head, I can get the rest tonight. I've spent probably 14 hrs in hornresp on this driver alone. I t just won't get below 40 hz without going too big🙁
Re 8.25 ohms,fs 29 hz,qts 0.7075,Qms 3.99, Qes 0.86, le 2.6346mH, Vas 328.8 liters,Bl 24.7, Mms 350g,Cms 85.9, sens 91.4 db @ 2.83v.......hmmm it seems these are off fromm the last set I gave , could be from cone drift as I've kept it face down for a bit.
