Hello i'm a student at Electronics Engineering in Bucharest Romania and need to build a class D amplifier that uses pulse width modulation ( PWM ) i searched the forums but couldn't find anything.
The amplifier should be about 50w in to 8ohms.
Can you recomand me a schematic??

regards

I would cheat and look at the IR range of class D amplifiers. If you need to come up with a novel design. Select a square wave oscillator at more than audio frequency. Feed it into an integrator to produce a triangle waveform. Feed that into the -ve input of a TK071 and your audio into the +ve input. The result is PWM. Feed a pair of FETs and there you are.
No distortion and plenty of power. Distortion is related to the shape of the waveform.
Your power supply will work the amp nicely.

You should be able to build a reasonable pwm circuit.
However people often have trouble with them.
Overdriving them will see long pulses of DC going to the speaker.
There is often problems with hum on none feedback pwm amps.
You will also need something to level shift from the pwm to the output mosfets.
I think I used an ir2113 for that.
