These types of thread are great. Topics such as helping save the unwitting from being parted with their cash, one upmanship in snakeoil humor and arguments between members over who knows more - highly entertaining stuff! 🙂
Indeed Raj1, the OP has long departed with his answer in the second post yet there are always those that wish to show us all their "knowledge" with constant bickering and name calling ad nauseam.
IMHO:
For DC:
Solid (uses all of the copper )
For audio:
Stranded (skin effect) (uses as much copper as possible)
Silver plated if you can. (Silver oxide is conductive)
Solid silver not worth the cost.
OFC not worth the cost or the hype.
Crystal whatever tend to suggest (to me) separated copper particles...how is this a positive characteristic?
