Man, I am glad that I didnt participate!! I nearly did order some, but counting my stock, I didnt really need any.... And all that "V" talk had me suspicious!!!! The pictures of ES44's over in the GB thread talk theire clear language, and so does the testing results of H_A's. For now, this is another really dark cloud over the, otherwise great GB's, here at DIYaudio....

Okay, here is a real update on my Pumpkin..... I am waiting for 3 darn resistor values to show up in the mail!! All the rest is in place and ready to roll......😀 And i am ready to Rock😎

🙂

gimme pics .............. :bawling:

ya greedy old danske fart....... 😀

even if I'm publishing this pic without permission ......

Do I know you?

Here are little buggers. I didn't try them yet. My feeling is that the guy that was selling was set up by his "supplier".
I do not think that he knew what was going on. He already has replied and he is trying to worki on it. So, lets be patient. Certainly it is mess.

Did i miss something ? I don't see any reply from seller in the 2sk389 and 2sj109 GB thread yet.😕

On the other hand, i really hope he didn't know it's someone's garbage he sold to us. The alternative will ruin my believe in humanity :bawling:

Best regards

Funny, i'm following that thread closely, but the few moments i was away from it, A'af was there.
If that's the truth, i feel really sorry for the guy. He will be the one taking all the yelling and swearing instead of the supplier.
Not a pleasant situation to find one self in, after trying to help others, ouch.

Looking into the Shunty's schematic (http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1335499#post1335499), there are different values for C9 and C9A, as well as for C10 and C10A.
:whazzat:

It's obvious that should be the same in pair and according to BOM, should be like this:

C9, C9A = 10uF
C10, C10A = 100uF

Correct?

yup - correct ; I'll correct those mistakes and include "how ****** works" in Cookbooks ,also ;

maybe tonight...... maybe not ........ as a lone techie in my small town,I'm overwhelmed with drek this days ............ ;(

nota bene - values written in parts tables are correct ; they're just dreked in schmtc 😉

huh ...... I'm glad that I owe you just ~ 50 bucks

in your case it's almost funny ........ just 4 + 4 pcs ........ tnx to God that you aren't greedy as I'm usual .......

and - that wasn't hunch in this case that I didn't bought as much I can , but more my stubbornes ...... I decided that I'll not chase them anymore

nice and easy - yes
but - in any different way - no

I'll play with toobz :clown:

Steeno-

Ofcourse I send him 4 flies to sell, and as far as i know they went for at least 2500 USD a piece
:worship:

I hope ZM won't ask me to respectfully stay out of this thread if I am not building a pumpkin -- but I can not remember -- what is the name the of bird that the feather that looks like an eye comes from? (the one with the big white dot)

Ya guy's are crazy 😀

:Pumpkin: update :
ZenMod, maybee you could write a note on your'e OpenSource CookBook!, that the ''Magic'' Gain setting is ~ 147Kohm + 8,2Kohm, for having the :Pumpkin: swinging around 15~16v 1KHz sine at 1v 1KHz input, without having problem's. If that anybody except for me, wanna bigger gain that is ofcause...

I have been trying a lot of setting's for theese value's past week's, and the ''magic'' MAX point is there ! I even tried a setting giving me ~25xGain :smash: But that's is a bit of a ''bee + itch'' to handle, without humming.

Well... right now i am waiting for my Laptop to return from repairshop, so i cannot post any picture's right now... Actually i have made a setup excatly as ZenMod suggested, with his excellent groundingschm. Onlything i didnt make as he suggested is the inputselector, which i copied from the Darwin natural inputselector, with 100Kohm resistors around the input, which is working very very good indeed... ! I made all input's with XLR, just shorting leg1+3 when using it unbalanced (Thanks ZenMod for the tip).

Regarding the gainsetting of :Pumpkin:, there is no big difference between having gain at 25 to have gain at 16(as with 8,2Kohm+147Kohm) when playing on dual mono balanced F4's btw... I guess the limit with the 100watt is there around gain x 15 with 1,5v input giving ~25v out (just a guess)

I am hoping all around here, will have a very good newyears party... (i will for sure) will be back with pictures next year 😀 😀 😀
