Hi, Im very new to the Music Engineering thing, i know very little and enough to go on. But im having few issue, ill explain as follows (If Anyone is able to help of course)

Well i recently purchase a Pulse-Audio SPA-300 (300 Watt RMS Total @ 4ohms?)

Oh So Specs as follows

2X 150 RMS @ 4ohm
2X 100 RMS @ 8 ohms
1X 300 BRDGE @ 8ohms

So i hook everything up, pre-amp at a decent level and wires all correctly in place, all is well, but then upon turning the volume up the sub-woofer gives a loud pop clacking sound like paper ripping, (Thought this was distortion at first) but nope, Low volumes sound very very nice, checked amp to see if it was clipping, but it wasnt

Also sorry if that is hard to understand, trying my best to explain the problem.

I Also tried bridging the amp, and its the same issue, sub-woofer is an Sony Xplod 1200 Watt (300ish rms rated) Yes i know sony xplods arnt very good,

but as a comparison its perfectly working so that cannot be the issue.

So if anyone can assist me id be very greatful

@Revboden, It was a sealed box but it sounded dead and dull so i added a port and it sounds far better, as for the actual specs, it was a 2nd hand box from my friend, but its a pretty standard size, i know ported needs little more space for ported.
and i know if the box is to small and you have it ported i know it can effect the sub woofer by not getting enough movment? but im not sure its that but then again, im no expert.

@lduarte1973, As for cone checking, its fine, no crunching, moves freely and nice and bouncy, though if you push in far enough you do hear a slight scrape sound, but if im right, that could be the limit of the cone?

Sorry if those answers are vague, im very new to all this, But thanks for helping me.
