PSUD2 Question

Hello,
I am trying to model a raw DC supply. On hand I have Hammond 166M12 (12.6 Vct, 3A, 13.8 ohms), bridge rectifier (1N5822), C1=320 uF, L1=0.6mH at 0.7 ohms, C2=15,000 uF//15,000uF, for a CLC config filter.
I tried the simulation with 200mA sink as load no problem. But if I use 1.0 Amp load, I have to specify that it is a "stepped" using 1.0 for the first and say 100mA for the second to work or else it give me an error saying sink to zero. Am I doing it correctly?

Also, I want to try it with Hammond 166L4 (14Vct, 2A). My goal is to get as close to 15Vdc out without changing any component except the transformer. Can someone show me how it is done?
Thank you!
Abe

Is your load a perfect current limiter?

Most loads are more like resistors. If you want 15V 1Amp, use a 15 Ohm resistor.

The 13 ohms is on the primary. And I can not see how you got 13V 0.5A with 13r on the secondary. The secondary is 0.2r. The total resistance reflected to secondary is 0.36r.

Thank you! I will try again and see.

I have tried it. No luck.
My problem is that I have a Hammond 166M18 installed (18 vct, 3A) with the circuit described and the voltage is too high, about 20Vdc out. I am trying to figure out what trafo rating (VCt) to use with the existing circuit so that it can work with both 200mA and 1A load where Vout is somewhere along 14-18 Vdc (I put 15 vdc in my post above).
