I got a new power supply on my aleph5 wit LC filter but when I put it on, the fuse blows, whats happening? Do I have a short? I made a drawing of the psu, on the regulators I got 22,6 volt on the - and +, when I hook it on, the fuse is blowing. See drawing

Where are your fuses ? are you using primary or secondary fuses ? What ratings have the fuses ? When connecting two big 625 VA toroids with that load on it to the mains it will be a short circuit for a few milliseconds !!!!! do you have any photos ??

I got one 6A on the primary with a NTC 6.0 thermister after it. Before these settings I had 2 300VA toroidals, and 4 66000uf's instead of 6 in double mono configuration, without any problems playing for almost a year, a foto will follow! Grtz Teake

Hi again! I made me a softstart with a 6A fuse and it worked without the transformers connected to the caps. Then I cennected it only to the 15000uf 80 V Cap with the inductor connected and again the 2 fuses of 6A blowed. So now I think I have a real problem, maybe a short. I connected two of the + and - 22,5V from the rectifierbridge to the centerplate of the Capsbank. The other + and - 22,5V wend to the 15000UF's, one to the + from one cap and one to the - from one cap. I will search tomorrow again. Grtz Teake
