Hey all.. I'm a newb with semi decent knowlege on video equipment but im stumbling on trying to mod my psone screen..
Its an official sony PAL psone LCD that onli seems to onli have a fixed 50hz sync refresh rate but i want it to also work on my NTSC 60hz games...
there are other LCD screens for psone that support both but the offical one is the most beautiful one avaliable.. ive taken it apart to try and fix the problem but have no idea where to begin.. does anyone have any ideas?
I searched and found a few tings bout the LCD but nohting i could relate to my problem..
any help or links would be appreciated
thanks

It is possible to make a 'VGA' hack for the PS > PSoneScreen as the Playstation provides this as standard.
AFAIK this is both PAL and NTSC independant.
Would this option work for you application?

Theres a load of info on hacking the PSone screen to work with VGA in the car computer forums,

The issue I had was trying to enable the second output of my Radeon card to enable a duplicated display. Because the DVI port (via DVI->VGA converter) doesnt see the displays EDID data then it refuses to enable the digital output so the second display wouldnt become enabled.
I do have some hacks from ATI and nvidia that can enable the digital outputs regardless of whats connected to them - however these seem flakey at best. If anyone has a concrete method that works I'd love to hear it.
The picture quality via a RGB feed is superb, the PSone screen is really excellent display. Via composite I found it lacking in clarity, especially when trying to displasy a windows desktop.
good luck
