psone screen maybe broken?

well, i bought a psone screen and recived it today, it isnt the sony one but it is the same one as The Alchemist is using, i think i have broken it as it will no longer turn on so i think i will send it back but before i do i was wondering if there was any other way of getting it to work? the lcd hack link that has been posted is no use to me as i do not have any of those screens, if someone knows of anothe way to do it or a link to a tutorial please let me know.

What have you done that broke it ?
Explain what mods you have made, stripped etc.
What input are you using.

well i started stripping it and once it was done it wouldnt show the video on the composite, i have been toying with it and if i disconnect the power to the main board i can get sound but as soon as i connect the main power the sound goes, i secided to put it all back together as it was just to see( ya know?) well unfortiounatly it didnt, i dont know what else i can tell you, as what more you need to know, btw i have made no real mods

i feel like such and idiot now but i had better let you all know, never know might help one of you later 🙂 well the answer was i accidently plugged a 2 pin plug in the wrong place lol i know i'm stupid but its better than finding out that its trash right? thanks anyway,

Mines only for testing concept - pretty poor quality, yours is probably a little better.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

yeah its ok now just working on getting it into my projector case now, this is my first and i am just using a low quality psone screen, i will give u a screen shot later when its working

I want to buy a cheap one! do they basically all strip well and are all good for use? If not which ones are best in UK??

Try to aim for something a little better Andy, yes they can work (though I cant say for sure about the specific model your ebay link has) but they tend to be medium quality at best, there's just not enough pixel resolution as shown on my picture.

Try to find a panel with at least 640x480 res.
