hi
im getting so confused:bawling: there is a few things im still unsure about.
1. does page magnifiers work just as well as fresnel lenes
2. does the lcd pannel go between the fresnel lenses or be hind them
3. does anybody have any good pic's of there fresnel lenes and lcd.

thankyou🙂

1. I think I saw a post from ACE saying that he used one at one point and it wasent too bad, but im not sure that I would suggest it, they sell them here locally they are 0.5mm groove pitch etc, but I dont think they have the correct focals and they melt too easily

2. Depends on your preference, there are two schools of thought, Split and un-split,

Split: some suggest that something like a fresnell lens should not be in the path of the triplet, because the your high quality triplet is now having to focus through a low quality acrylic lens but alot of people have success in getting a nice image, I know when I tried split no matter how good i placed the fresnells etc, there was ALWAYS, no matter how little - still noticeable distortion(rings etc), so i do not suggest it, supposidly split design can increase brightness, but i think this is only if your LCD has a very very pour viewing angle. (keystone is do-able with this design too)

Unsplit: The triplet lens is focasing on the LCD directly without anything in its path(with split you still focus on the LCD, but though the fresnell, hence distortion) and the image quality is always perfect in my experience, crisp, clear just the way it should be, however you can experience problems if the LCD does not like the converging light(low viewing angle)

3. They are all over the forum buddy 🙂

here is a nice projector, using the split design, theres a few pics there to give you an idea of frensell placement etc.
