PSone LCD question..

How do you turn it on?

i bought a psone lcd, to try builing a projector out of it..
i can't get it to turn on, i don't have a psone, so i have no way of testing it. i don't know if it's blow or what.
i just want video in, no vga.

some insight would be nice.

u dont need psone
just connect the video input..
it will detect the signal and turn on automaticly..

u can use a regular 2rca to pl cable ( u can buy it in any audio store )

i have riged a video cable useing a RCA and headphone jack,
and can't get the lcd to turn on.

anybody have any advise?

You have to buy an actual A/V Cable that has video and left/right audio. It is available at walmart or radio shack. one end has a 3 ring mini-din headphone jack and the other end has red,white,and yellow rca jacks. It's hard to just make one up since it's looking for video to sync to on that connector. a regular stereo headphone jack isn't going to do it. I think the radio shack cable is a whopping 20 bucks. They're used mostly for connecting camcorders to tv's and vcr's but it also works for plugging dvd's and vcr's into your psone. hope that helps.

Type: rca camcorder cable into Ebay

I buy these cables on ebay all the time. They have a 3.5mm plug on one end and a video/Left and right audio connection on the other. I have never tried the 20-30 dollar "Monster" cables you can get at Best Buy/RadioShack/compusa.

You can get them for about 4 dollars a piece. They work well, and haven't run into any problems.

i used a stereo headphone jack and rigged an rca jack onto each wire, the only drawback is not knowing which one is for the video..........

Hi all,
I bought a sony psone screen from a guy on ebay who sells them new for £26.99. I tried to use it with an external video source and camcorder cable which works on another screen ive been using, but for some reason the sony psone screen wouldnt turn on. I sent it back to the guy and he tested it with no problems. Am i doing something wrong? Advice would be appreciated. I thought it was my cable, but as i said before, i use it with another screen. I am at a loss. Help please.

I wonder if it could be a power supply problem..

i'm using the power supply it came with, 7.5V 3A

what kind are you people using that works?
