Hey guys bought a ps1 lcd off ebay about 2 weeks ago and finnaly came in today..nice picture, appart from the red line that appeared about 15 mins of use. Dont know why all i know is that it is annoying. I press on the Y at the end of sony and sometimes it goes away if you push really hard...but I shouldent have to do this!..any help..loose conections..ive already ripped this baby apart so returning isnt going to be happening.

Sounds like there is a bad connection. If pressing manually helps, see if you can arrange a diminutive clamp setup to make the line stay gone.
well...it works for a bit..but then keeps on coming back untill i add more pressure..any clue what this can be??
I have seen that on LCDs before. The connections get loose and (usually) several rows go out. I don't know if thats something that can be fixed easily.
your ffc is loose on the board. The ffc connection for the psone lcd leaves alot to be desired. If you disassemble the unit, (There are several places on the internet that give step by step) you will be able to reconnect the ffc. You just pop up the brown clip on top of the connection. Then firmly reinsert the ffc cable and pop down the brown tab. I believe the line was white when mine was loose. Hope this helps. ive done that so many times its not even funny (about 5 times a day, for the past 3 weeks [trying to get it to work])..thatnks but is no use in trying anymore for me. I think im going to scrap this whole projector thing. I never had so many problems with my first one. O well. Thanks for helping.
