Just wondering if anyone out there has experience with this one and what the issue might be with the rather large turn on thump mine does. Holds DC offset fine and plays great just maybe hard on the speakers when first fired up. Thanks in advance.

"Most amps without relays in the outputs" have this "thump" noise at turn on/off. it is very common to find it......
That's quite true. I did most of my own DIY builds without relays and still do as long as it's not for a customer. The integrated amps that didn't thump, relied on the preamp supply rails being carefully balanced in charge/discharge cycle times by either unequal electrolytics or a dummy load resistor. This often worked fine to reduce the thump to a faint puff from the bass speakers, at least for a typical 10 year life span. The usual cheap alternative now is a JFET mute switch on the amp. input

The problem here is that the thump was probably minimal at the factory but a part or two have drifted over time to the point where the amp now thumps big-time! The manufacturer's advice would be best, if available.
