I have the opportunity to buy the projector locally( well Down where My brother lives) from someone whom wants to get rid of it It has 700 hrs on the current 2000 hr bulb and the specs are XGA and 700 ansi( I currently have this same projector) but I was thinking about how I could get a LCD monitor thats beter Contrast( 9210 is 150-1) and maybe get a HQI setup that would produce more then 700 ansi. Im torn whats everyones opinions, On the one hand the projector is smaller and zooms etc But the LCdmonitor would be a better contrast responce etc and it dosent take a 200+ bulb replacement. bahhhhh post away with what you think.

hoya, or "lens filters" are lens that you screw onto the front of your projector to improve black levesl. They are many types such as CC40R , CC30R and so on. You will have to make sure that you can adjust the RGB on your projector so that you can correct the colors as it will change them slightly.

These lens-filters are mostly used in photographic equipment to adjust colors and lighting.
