Well, I went and replaced the output transistors and while one channel sounds quite good, the other channel still exhibits some raunchy distortion so I assume the driver transistors are in poor condition or something. I've been putting in the OT lately so the Proton has been doing a lot of sitting. I also think the pre-amp section might have issues but I'll have to verify this.
