What about use a current mirror to balance a parallel triodes? Can be a good idea? ...all the best to everybody
Why would you want to balance the currents in parallel valves, when all the other valve parameters could be 20-30% different?
Thanks DF96 for your reply, I am attempting to design a parallel triode on both first stage and output stage using 6CY7 tubes, I am working now on the simulator, I immediately realise how difficult can be then I try to include a mirror circuit on the cathode of both stages and on simulation all come much better, gain, freq. response and THD. I am an hobbyist so that's why I am asking opinions from more experienced members.

If it's not worth the trouble of trying to balance parallel valves with a current mirror then at least use cathode bias which means they'll be pretty close and if you want to be more accurate you can fine tune the cathode resistance on one valve to bring their operating points into closer alignment.
