proper speaker in 59 fender princeton

i have a terrible condition 59 princeton with a replaced speaker. some of the charts i've seen indicate it should be a 4 ohm speaker and some say it should be 8 ohm. even weber speakers site has a question mark beside the ohm category. i know the earlier ones were 4 ohm but, how do i determine what the proper one is?

wouldn't be a bad idea to replace to output transformer as well to match the speaker? being a class A amp the refresh will feel great on it.

Figure out the turns ratio by applying AC voltage to one side and see what come out the other.
