nView Z115, 640X480, 1.4M colors, 8.4" active matrix, (VGA, RCA, S-video inputs). Economical alternative, flexible inputs, < $150 on ebay, $5495 MSRP originally. Look for models on Ebay with power supply and connectors included.
I have one ordered and in route with no connecting cables or power cord. I will test it and may make it available to members here if anyone is interested.

Other Panel Information
I don't know if anyone is going to find this useful, but here are two sites I found that provide good information for projection panels. I've found most of the panels I've looked for on one of these two. Enjoy!

Does anyone know anything about this panel? Is it good for DIY or would a different one be better?

It's relatively small, good price, high resolution, and theres alot of options for input.
It seems really good but I want some other peoples opinions.
Tell me what you guys think.

Frequency Response:
DVD Audio (fs 192kHz): 4Hz - 88kHz

CD/Video CD (44.1kHz): 4Hz to 20kHz
2. i also have a compaq laptop that is about 5 or 6 years old

don't know about the dvd player but I do know it would cost a fortune to get the converter cards to use a laptop lcd screen for a projector
I have an Nview spectra lcd panel with no power supply.
What voltage and current does it need? There's no information on the unit & I'd rather not start experimenting!
Thanks

The tiny screens used in multimedia projectors by leading vendors are able to show you 1600x1200 resolutions, which makes me wonder if there's a 15" projection panel available utilizing like 200-800 dpi in order to display 4-16 megapixels?
In some of the ealier post it is stated that the Sharp QA2500 has a contrast ratio of 150:1. This is not true. According to the Sharp QA2500 user manual it has a ratio of 60:1. Here is a copy of the the specs page taken out of the Sharp QA2500 manual.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I’ve been wondering about the 15.4 inch UXGA screen that Dell used to sell in their Inspiron 8500. lcds4less.com has it priced at $425 for a new screen and with a native resolution of 1920x1200 it would be almost perfect for 1080p high def stuff.
