here is my SMPS for the car sub amp i made
just basic (ESP) design overbuild with 8x (irf540 28A) fets - double discrete rectifier with ultrafast 1000v diodes (MUR8100E) - the usual SG3525 controler - lots of 105C caps and frond and back chokes for filtering - handmade tranny potted with superglue - perforated board constraction with very fat solder tracks and fat cabling - 50Khz operating frequency - dc output +/- 60volts
very pleased with the outcome .
smps exibits some hi frequency harmonics in the 10-15 Mhz region wich does not affect itself or amplifier . and didnot bother to filter more . 6 months in car use driving an overbuilt "A.Holton N-channel amp" with a 4ohm JBL P1220 400Wrms SPL woofer easily up to its x-max with no distortion proved power capability and stability .
