Hi everyone, i propose that his thread be dedicated to showing projects that are designed and tested so that it may inspire both newbies and thos experienced. I propose that we include a price for the project in as many currencies as possible (mainly US, Aus, UK, Euro).
Include an overview and links to where it has a page(if applicable).
If this thread could be made permanent it would be a nice reference when looking into building a new speaker.

Something of this nature already exists in WIKI.
Unfortunately it's underutilized. Most newcomers don't know enough to visit WIKI.
Personally, I would like to see this off the DIY site. Photos, graphs, etc. would be a large part of this and the way the DIY pages are set up you can't right click on a photo to see it. If you want to see a single photo you are out of luck - you have to turn graphics on and load the whole page of photos.
Frankly, I've never understood this. Every other web site on the net will allow you to have graphics off and right click on a photo to see it alone without have to wait while all the other photos on that page load. To me, this is very irritating - especially when posters don't know enough to manipulate their images to reasonable physical and file sizes. Just recently someone posted a 900K photo that could have easily been 60K with very little loss in resolution.
Enough complaining. Yes, I agree - it would be a great idea if done right.

I think having a resource like this would be very useful, especially if you could search through projects and find those that implement the concepts/materials etc. that you're interested in.Include an overview and links to where it has a page(if applicable)
Based on this I developed a searchable DIY audio projects database, but it needs populating with your projects.
If it's used, then I'll do more work on it.

Thumbnails of pics are something that is under consideration, but our chief engineer keeps saying something about being only able to do one thing at once... pah... 😉 😀

This looks like a really good start. If only you can get DIY Audio to link to it from their upper menu rather than from WIKI.

Well, I mentioned this over a year ago but my words fell on deaf ears.
Thumbnails sounds like a good solution.

Mentioned what, parts database, or pictures?
If we mods spot good ideas we usually discuss them and they get put on a list of things we would like to do. Unfortunately most ideas require writing code for the site, it's not just a case of selecting an option in a menu. Audiofreak, our main man, does the best he can with the time he has, and sometimes good ideas that would take a lot of work have to be put on the back burner for longer than we would like. Over the past year or so, however, many things have had to be done backstage that don't really affect the look and feel of the site, but are vital for its smooth running, so some things we would like have taken longer to come to fruition than we hoped.
But, as always, we appreciate good ideas and suggestions for improvements, so keep them coming! 😉
