Hello everybody,
i want to try to build an Aleph 5 but i have a lot of question for a parts !

I want to build this amp with the schematics and pcb of http://www.kk-pcb.com/

For powersupply what do you think about this parts ...

Thank you for your answer.

g,day

use the kkk pcb its a much better setup than the brian gt boards or peter d boards (i have all of the above )

more room for parts and the output devices space out way better on the sinks dissipating the heat better and allowing for higher bias /better sound ,they are very good boards

for the power supply go to aussie amplifiers and grab a pair of his psu3, they are already made and work perfect

i have been using the above with some nuvotem potted toroids for 5 years with no problems and if i had to build again i would do it the same

cheers

gold plated does not mean quality

layout thickness ect determins quality
as i said i have used all three pcbs mentioned ,have you ?

i owe nothing to any of the pcb makers mentioned i am just stating based on experiance which one is best

if you were building a head amp or one to be installed in a very small case then brians pcb or pd,s would be great
but for a full size amp the benefets stated in my first post can not be denied

i get the impression that seeing as you have the brian gt boards you will say they are the best regardless of if they are or not but i on the other hand have all three pcb,s and know which i would use

cheers

are you joking or what audio san
the output spacing on the brian gt boards is too close and does not spread the heat over a normal sink properly (being outboard does not make a difference)
it concentrates all the heat in a small area
the spacing and size of the kkkpcb boards spread the heat over a much larger area

i thought this would be pretty simple to understand

i will say again i have all the above boards do you?

where do you get this from?? wonderland?
yes 3 and 3 fets are a little closer. but wht bout the distance between the 2 3 groups? forgot that or what?

pics will show what i am on about

i have sat the brian gt pcb next to the kkk to show the difference

one looks like a kids toy the other a real mans class a amplifier

thats aleph2 and not aleph5
at the cost of 109euro vs $9.
and BTW. for aleph2. that 6match sit way to close to spread the heat over som big sinks. i have tried.
with brian's boards, you can also drop the middle fet an use as many boards/fets as you like.

forgot to add
they are kkk aleph 2 boards in mono blocks run as aleph 5 (lower voltage rails)
this allows me to run maximum bias with better heat spread across the sinks

cheers
btw those sinks are conrad 350mm i dont see how you can say the output devices are not spread outr evenly enough to dissapate the heat
these were built to replace the same amps built with brians pcb,s and using his output boards in the same configuration you mentioned above and the sink temp on this pair is more uniform
