On My ' Harman Kardon AVR 20 Dolby Pro Logic Suround 5.1 AV
Receiver '.
There Is Not Any Sound Playing Out Of The Suround Sound's Right &
Left Rear Speaker's. But When I Press The 'TEST' Button The Tone Is
Heard Just Fine Through The Left & Right Front Speaker's & Also The
Center Chanel Speaker, But The Rear Suround Sound Speaker'sPlay's
The Test Tone At A Very Low Volume.
The User's Manual Say's On The Original Remote Control ( Which I
Don't Have ) You Can Adjust The Rear Speaker's Volume With The
Remote Control. Is This The Only Way The Rear Suround Sound
Speaker's Can Be Adjusted.

If you have a HK remote control even if its not the original HK says try a reset on it.
1-remove batteries.
2-hold down all the buttons.
3-short out both plus+ minus of the battery holder .
If I have picked you up wrong and you don't have a HK remote then that might not work.
Looking at the instruction manual and the front PANEL controls =
to drive both pairs of speakers push both 1&2 switches IN.
Also has the surround mode selector switch been pressed ---once
?
There is also different surround modes the rear speakers in surround mode only reproduce the surround signals .
The actual panel controls are able to achieve a lot of functions depending on how you operate them according to the manual without the remote.
