I just acquired a Proceed CDP. While obtaining the user manual was very straightforward, obtaining a service manual not so much.
Would anyone be able to help out?

Looks like there are some service manuals out there: https://www.google.com/search?q=pro...MAiAYBkAYCkgcDMi41oAeZHA&sclient=gws-wiz-serp
I have seen those.
Some are user manuals for the CDP. Easy to come by.

The PCD is older than the CDP, the PCD is the grey boxy player from the early '90s. The CDP is the light grey one with he dark grey sides from the late '90s. I'll find some pictures.

Looks like there is no service manual for this one. Depending on its symptoms, maybe possible to do some troubleshooting anyway. Visual inspection of the inside, look up datasheets for ICs, deduce what signals should be present, etc. That said, don't know if its worth the trouble. While it appears to have been a rather expensive high-end unit when it was made, doubtful it could stand up to some of the best today, especially allowing for inflation.
Do you have one or more hi-res pics of the inside? If so, maybe someone will recognize certain parts of it.
