I haven't heard of that problem before. I find that the best way to eliminate problems is to start with the easiest posible solution.
I would clean all connections to the panel, ensuring that there is no dust in them. Just blow inside them or use a dry cloth to remove any crud from them. Then, ensure all glass surfaces that are supposed to be cleaned, are cleaned very well.
Can I ask, if this doesn't solve your problem, what is your current set-up? The Panel, OHP, connections used(VGA/SVID?)
