As it says above, many, not all tracks will start about a second in, I’ve been told it’s when an external Dac is used.
Bluesound Node 2i into Audiolab Mdac+ using Qobuz
Any suggestions please?

Check drivers for your DAC. I notice that using ASIO 4 ALL that if the sample rate changes between tracks there is a brief glitch. The ASIO drivers that came with my external DAC started glitching after an OS update so I had to scrap the manufacturer’s driver.
Not the same model as yours, but I have Qobuz also.

The problem is the buffer size. If your net (LAN or internet) is fast enough, you don't need a big buffer size since it's likely not to cause drop outs. If your ping is high, you'll probably have to live with that restriction, but if you've got a good connection (note: high max speed does not grant a low ping! Low ping > max speed) it's not an issue. So reducing the buffer size could probably solve your issue.
Jeffh01 and ICG, please forgive me but I have no idea how to do what either of you have suggested…sorry!
I was assuming that your playback was PC based. I don’t have a streamer and just use a PC with external DAC.
If your streamer is driving the DAC, you are at the mercy of the streamer’s OS support for your DAC.
My glitching is caused by the change in sample rate between tracks, if you have any discretion to influence this maybe fix this at say cd quality and see if that helps.
I am trying to be helpful here, but as I say I don’t use a dedicated streamer, so what I’m saying maybe just so much hot air! Please disregard if so!
Best of luck.
Maybe raise a fault ticket with Bluesound?

I may be wrong, but I believe I only get the problem when it’s ’better Than CD’ quality
Just played a song that is FLAC 24/41 and it clipped the very first part of the track off
Incidentally I’d been playing tracks of a lower quality all morning and no issues
Your thoughts again please gentlemen
Cancel that!
Just tried the same song of a lower bit rate and it still clipped the very start off!
Help! 🤨🤨

If you play two tracks in succession that have the same “better than cd” resolution, does it still happen?
Jeff, I edited my post to say I tried the same song at a lower bit rate and it still clipped it!
Coax.
Incidentally guys and I tested it before I reported it, but I spoke to the very helpful guy at Audiolab who told me to change the filter to ‘slo roll off’ , having tried every other one apart from this one!
It evidently slows down the machine ( don’t ask me how!) so that it’s a bit more patient starting the next track!
Seemingly all good now, thanks so much for your suggestions!
