Hi!
Did feed the DATA, BCLK and LRCK from my sony (50ES) transport straight to TDA1541A DAC chip.
It works, but output signal is too low (not this problem with Philips transport). Seems there is some interface problem, can I fix it somehow or better forget this combination?

Hi
Not an answer to your problem, just another question (sorry!):
I am planing to connect the TDA 1541 directly to a cd-player, like you did. Which Philipps player are you using? Do you know any other player which is suitable (Pioneer, Marantz,Technics)?
Thanks

I use Philips VAU1254/11 (CD-PRO) driver and
it has I2S output- suits well to TDA 1541.
Dont know much about different digi formats and
cant give any recommendation about it.
Didnt get as good result by SPdif and CS8412.

Sony/Burr-Brown to Philips I2S Intedface
Hi,
You need to convert the Sony/Burr-Brwn format to the Philips I2S format.
Thre was a application note, #207 on the Analog Devices website for the reverse process(I2S to Sony) maybe you get enough inspirition from it to design a circuit yourself.
The Application Note is no longer on the AD website but I can send you the file by email. Just drop me a email.
