This isn't a DIY question but i thought i'd just ask here. This TV is 60" and i've had it for about 4 or 5 years. Recently everything that is white starts to bleed. So if someone was wearing a white shirt there would be like a white glow around them. Does anyone know what this problem could be and how it could be fixed?
hey meatballz i read your thread about ARTOGRAPH projectors, and i would like to know if you have any experience with these? i plan to use one in my project.
Thanks.

Sounds like it could be a convergence problem, though I'm far from being an expert in these matters.
Regardless, I think the best solution would be to rip out the innards, and stick a better quality (higher res) DIY LCD pj inside the case. 😀
Might be a capacitor, not sure on white though.
Every time I get a older TV that has colors bleeding or fading and such, is get a Cap Kit, almost always fixes the problem, however I do not have much exp. in Projection TVs and remedies might not be the same as for a CRT.
