i was given a sonance 2120 that appears to have a problem with one channel.
i haven't had time to make any proper measurements yet but i've taken a multimeter to the output transistors to check if there were any obvious problems before powering up the amp.
anyways, upon applying power, everything stays cool except a 10 ohm resistor connected to the base of one 2SC4029...it heats up to about 100 degrees C. anyone have any tips as to what's wrong? there are 2x2SC4029 and 2x2SA1553 per channel and it looks as if two of the 2SC4029 was previously replaced by someone.
anyone know where i can find schematics for this amplifier?
