Hi. my plan is for a princeton reverb with EL91 pentodes for the output stage. I want a low power amp but hopefully with that pentode push pull sound. 5 watts is plenty loud.
my question is: the reverb driver in the original schematic asks for 400v. I can do this but i would rather keep it around 250v. thats the plate voltage for the output stage. I would like to keep it simple and not have to do a lot of math for the reverb driver. i could use another tube, like 6k6 or el84 but again i need calculate the input voltage and values (dont i?)
unless you want to do it for me?
you can suggest something else?
i cant seem to save the schematic, google aa1164
any ideas would be helpful

something around 8:15k
any way 15k. i thought about repurposed 100v line transformers but probably just buy an 8 watt hammond mutli tap.
I guess i need not worry about headroom when considering the reverb driver. it just muddles a small bandwidth signal.
thanks for the help

Of all the stages in the entire amplifier, I would say the reverb driver is the one least likely to be affected by lowering B+.the reverb driver in the original schematic asks for 400v.
Since this stage has a transformer for a load, there is negligible DC voltage drop there, so the anodes of the 12AT7 see the full B+ voltage. (Every other preamp stage sees less, because they use resistors for their anode loads.)
My guess is that the reverb driver will work just fine on 250V B+ with absolutely no other changes whatsoever.
