800VA 24v is sufficient for F5T V2 stereo? 400VA for monos?

I am not sure if Paypal would look kindly on missing out on 3% on the final number of this GB, being in the 8-10,000 dollar range. I would not want to get in trouble. My V2 is running on 400VA, and while working hard, it is doing the job. Dual 400 or single 800 should be nice. I would favor dual mono. PKI just went dual mono, using 600Va and had noticable improvement. PSU's are expensive, but nature, but if done right, they can greatly improve quality of the amp. Maybe a better way of putting it is to say they allow the active stage to shine.

Might as well get 800's then. I want some versatile transformers for a future project. I wonder if 24v secondaries will be usable for any other design if I don't build the F5T V2 ?

24V is great. If you need more power, you go balanced/bridged and then you double your voltage swing.

FWIW, the highlight (other than the foot print) is the 15VAC secondaries.

$6 ea. fr extra +/- 12V windings would be a good deal for me, if that is what the $6 in the price quote means...

So, total cost would be something like, $400VA + $12, + $12 (med size flat rate box)??

Thanks for uploading the specs Buzz,

The sizes are all within an inch or so, so I'm okay if you need to move the 600s to 800VA range if we can get a better group price for a few extra dollars more.

Hi Buzz. Final decision made. Look in the spread sheet. I switched from 600 to 800 VA.

Im also positive for to choose the 1000 VA models instead of the 800 VA for to receive a more beneficially discount, if you all 800 VA GBer go for it. 🙂
