PrimaLuna is mostly point to point, and the chassis is solid, Japanese pot, etc, etc. Any PCBs appear of excellent build and design.
Just rolling tubes in PrimaLuna presents a very worthwhile improvement in quality. My pre amp sounds incredible following rolling in NOS 12AU7.
I am running in some KT66 in my PL four power amp currently. The upper mid issues that I had have gone and bass and the very top treble is stronger thus far.

Just found this thread.
I have 1200v Jantzen superior Z caps on the way to replace the 0,1uf Solens in my PL prologue two.
Also i plan to bypass the four 0,22uf Solens on the auto-bias bord with 3000v Cornell Dubilier 940C 0.01. This should boost op their voltage rating and significantly decrease their ESR, resulting (theoreticaly) in better dinamics in the sound.
Does anybodey know what power rating the 1K input resistors have???

I'm waiting for a NOS Prologue 4 to arrive, so I was interested in this thread when I came across it.
There seems to be some confusion about the film caps on the Bias Board (PCB). These have nothing to do with the Auto Bias circuit, they are simply there because it was a convenient place to mount them.
As correctly pointed out, they are coupling caps, directly in the signal path between the input/output tubes. There is a wire from each half of the 12AU7 (orange and Yellow) up to a pair of these caps and then a pair (white wires) goes back to a couple of EL34's.
Note, the Auto Bias circuit itself, is not in the signal path.
On later/premium versions, these caps were not mounted on the Bias board but fitted point to point. The only current model to still have them in this location, is the (Narrow) EVO 100.
