Preamp to drive PA power amp

Hi, I am in progress of building bass guitar preamp/DI pedal using low gain onboard bass EQ and DI transformer, and would like to add simple high quality gain preamp, so that whole thing could drive PA power amp if needed.

1.2V output would be nice.

is there any circuit you would recommend?

Have a look in the line level forum, loads of stuff in there that will do the job.

A simple op-amp will suffice. Your application doesn't need state-of-the-art wizardry and a good quality NE5532 would be more than adequate. There are many of them on E-bay to simplify the building process.
