I'm thinking of using the below circuit in front of the Zen V.5 Complimentary pair but I'm not sure it is a good idea. I have the extra resistors attached to the rails to lower the voltage since I don't want to over drive the power stage. If I double the current of the above circuit (first stage) from 50mA to 100mA it gives more even gain over the two stages but I'm not sure that makes sense since MOSFETs are voltage controlled and I speculate the power stage might put out the same power with 50mA or 100mA driving it. If I can only increase the voltage a small amount and current doesn't matter it may not make much sense to have two stages.
