Pre outs on Rotel to sub & full through Speakers???

Hi
Please correct me if I'm wrong but its my understanding I can connect my powered subwoofer to the pre out (not sub out) connection provided on the rear of a Rotel rx950ax receiver I'm looking at?

My question is, as it will be sending full range audio to my subwoofer amp through its pre out will the Rotel still then be able to play full range audio to my stereo speakers connected to it while at the same time sending full range to the subs through its pre out?
Regards
Tim

Thanks, how would I find out that info? here is a screenshot from the manual on the pre out section.

I was intending to use this ( in pic) inline AX 100 for bass management, it just arrived in the mail but I'm a little confused I thought it would directly solder in inline with the sub speaker wires but instead it has two rca connections top and bottom and two small wires to power it (see photo). Where do the two tiny wires go to?

Says this is a stereo 12dB low-pass active filter, so it goes just before the subwoofer power amp.
Does it run on batteries? Don't know about the wires. Did you get any instructions with it?

A passive crossover would be for example, L and C connected directly to the woofer driver.
This is an active crossover, so it goes before the woofer amplifier and needs power.

Hi Jeff
I'm using a PA amp to power them with an ART cleanbox pro it has no filtering. My AVR receiver has its own filtering for sub but earlier models don't.
I want to run two amps with my switcher, one for tv and and one with better audio quality for music.

Here is my new set up, it took me about a month to build these speakers, the subwoofers are in them.

The said AX100 below is a car audio crossover so I need to purchase a 12v adapter to use it for home use.

Does anybody know what amps the 12v adapter should output for it?
