Could anyone tell me if they have used Holton modules with the predrilled UMS heatsinks available on the the DiyAudio Store ?
HPA-NXL300 R4 – Holton Precision Audio
It would make casing up a project much easier if the hole spacings match the spacing of the transistor holes.
I am interested in upgrading my 20 year old Audiolab 8000M amplifiers.

Rick, that is possibly the only way I’ll know for sure. The pin spacing of the transistors are 2.54mm between the pins. But the heatsink tapped hole drawing seems to be in multiples of 20mm. It would be nice if the transistors could be mounted without bending the leads slightly to get them to fit.
I took a look at what they are advertising
Boasting a power output of around 200 watts RMS into 8 Ohms and 350 watts RMS into 4 Ohms.
I see they are using 4 of ECX10P20, imo too aggressive. I think for that kind of power 6 of ECX10P20 devices would be better suited or 4 of ECW20P20.
The pin spacing on the TO-247 package is 0.215" or 5.461mm.
I have designed the DH-220C(OPS) for 60mm and the P230(OPS) to use 30mm device spacings. DH-200C(OPS) use 4 devices and P230(OPS) uses 6 devices. Thinking that they could be used on the the pre-drilled UMS heatsinks.
