Hello all,
I am looking at having a tube pre amp built. However, I want to use separate metal cabinets for the pre amp with VU meters and separate power supply cabinet. I want to have good ventilation for long tube life. I would love to have both cabinets dimensions of 8 inches long, 6 inches deep and 4 inches high. Where can I get such a cabinet? I welcome all suggestions. Thank you so much all.

I use this series:
Hammond Mfg. - Metal - Instrument Enclosures (1458 Series)
for my tape pre. Nice sturdy cabinets. Mount the "guts" to the bottom half and the top can be is easily removed to get to them. Available in blue or black. Looks like there are a few close to the dimensions you specified. Can get them from Mouser or Digikey

As I did thick alum. easy to work and strong . Prices are much better than hammond for much thicker alum.

I've never used a Bud chassis, but they're another option. Most of the big distributors carry them, including Digikey.
