I am planning to build a subwoofer (first DIY speaker project) and am considering the PR-15/DPL12 combo using the Adire cabinet plans. The plans appear to be straighforward and I have decent woodworking skills and tools. Unsure of what plate amp to use, and I am trying to keep the total cost around $300- 350.
Has anyone built this setup who can comment?
Are there any other suggestions for a similar subwoofer?
The sub will be used in a HT setup along with music. The room is an odd shape FR that opens up to Kitchen, I think a 12" will give me more than enough clean bass.
