Hi i have here is a PPI A600.2 Black Art series amp. I hooked up the amp with no rca or speaker hooked up to it. i dont see the power light come on? I was wondering if someone on here can help me get this amp up and running again Thank you for your time
Sounds like the power supply fets are blown and this does not happen by itself so I am also inclined to think you have one or more blown channels also. No power is no power supply in most cases, and power supplies do not blow out by themselves, so your looking at more damage inside the channels as the possible cause for this situation.
You will need to post inside PC Board pics of each amp in each thread. Close up as much as possible for visual indication to us here so we can look at the damage visually. I have a A600.2 open here on my bench currently, but looking at yours tells me your story.🙂

Are these pics correct for this description? If so this amp is missing its 60 amp fuse located on the back panel. You will need to replace that to do further testing.
I see pics in both threads that are the same, please correct this as each amp has different issues and we must work on visual indications first.. thanks😱
PS: do NOT power test this amp without some clamps on the power devices. In these amps they use the bottom plate as part of the heat sink clamping system you will need to build home made clamps as seen in Perry's web site to work on this amp while its bottom cover is off the amp. The first devices to fail will be the lower regulators in the power supply as they have a large DC voltage drop across them and they will get hot very fast without some form of clamping pressure holding them down to the sink surfaces. So visit Perry's sire and make some clamps out of aluminum before you get to deeply in and need to power the amp for further testing.
