I have to power this thing up for this test and send a signal through the front right chanel rca.
I am can do this but will have to take it to my vehicle to fire it up again. Turn the gains down when I do this I am assuming. Another note I do not have a power supply to run in my house would a battery charger work for thus test set on 2 amps just to get enough idle current to fire it up
I wouldn't use a battery charger without a battery. It would probably be OK but there's no point in risking it.
Rite that is why I asked .I will take it out to my vehicle carefully and get it fired up and run the test .I am driven to get this thing repaired, I listen to these amps and use them as intended no matter of age .
I found the board that runs that chanel and it is the one I suspected . Gonna try to clean up the solder joints on it and see what happens from there .I will let you know what happens asap thanks again for the help on this project
😀Ok here is the deal,I touched up the transistors on the board in question and it seems to be fixed.I ran the amp at high levels and low levels and nothing intermittent at all. I am gonna let it sit overnight and run it through its course tomorrow. I will get back to you on this matter once I confirm that it is all good.
I believe we are good to go on this fix.not sure how long it will hold but I don't think I will have anymore issues.I can't thank you enough and would like to make it rite with you.what can I do for you.
