If you have to chose between using the digital supply or the ouput stage supply which would be better to use on the PCM63's analog supply pins.

You mean the raw output supply vs the raw digital feeding regs to the 63?
It would be context specific, depending on ground layout, but all ther factors being equal (which they usually are not) I would opt for the output supply feeding.
What is important is to up the values of the caps on the three ref/decouple/servo bypass pins. Huge honkin phat caps, I use 1500uF in addition to the smaller film caps.
This cleans up without dumping noise into the ground plane. Major improvement to my ears.
Likewise, for the 317/337 use big caps from the adj pins to gnd, with minimal ones on the +/- 5 rails.
With careful implementation, the classic 63 holds it's own against most of the new kids on the block in terms of pure, enjoyable musicality.
