5AR4/GZ34 is fine for this task. As far as I have been able to ascertain all of the current Russian made 5AR4 are electrically identical, differing only in the color and type of base used.
Not sure what you meant by sag since if this is a class A amplifier circuit the average load current is invariant and variations in operating voltage as a function of signal level should not occur. There will likely be a difference in loaded vs unloaded supply voltage.
