I am eyeing the PS of my Onix integrated tube amp after doing the caps and resistors ...
I should point out that I am 'learning' as I go along the DIY trail ..
my pal is an electronic specialist but not into audio especially, he has great equipment ..several hi-speed scopes etc ..and wide electronic knowledge
he suggested looking for 'noise' before we se the shotgun approach for anything ...
makes sense I thought ...my other pal is into audio ...but has no scope ..told me that we are not looking for 'noise' exactly ...he said some 'noise' is ok ...but instead noted that 'ringing' is the problem & that it occurs w/ some stock PS's
SO I am asking if anyone can define what we need to look for and 'fix' on the PS ?
any info WILL BE appreciated !

Hi Bernard,
I like your "electronic specialist" friend. You should always know where you are before setting a course.
You should check your supply on his equipment after you make changes in case you create a problem.
