power supply for 6922 mu follower

I need to design a power supply for a 6922 based mu follower.

Will have a 6922 triode loaded with a choke and a MOSFET as a source follower.

Dunno about power supply.

chokes, VR tubes, SS vs tube? etc...

maybe a regulated supply... dunno.

a very quiet supply would be good.

ideas?????

voltage needed... hmm.... maybe 150. (perfect for VR tube).

current?... 50mA per channel as a guess.

Thanks for ANY help!

try this:

ok..

look up alan kimmels mu-followers.

He has a design with a triode loaded with a MOSFET configured as a source follower.

In that design there is a resistor that sits on the plate of the triode connected to the mosfet.

Instead of this resistor i was going to put a choke.

My question is this:

I want to run my 6922 at 90v and 6mA per channel.

The mosfet will run at 40mA per channel. with the 6922 at 6mA and a resistor at 34mA.

what would be the best power supply for this?? reliable and quiet and sounds good....

Thanks!

i think you mis-understand.

total current through mosfet is 40mA.

total current through 6922 is 6mA

total current through resistor in parallel with 6922 is 34mA.

just read the alan kimmel stuff.

anyway, I DON'T care about the gain stage... just the power supply.
