I need to design a power supply for a 6922 based mu follower.
Will have a 6922 triode loaded with a choke and a MOSFET as a source follower.
Dunno about power supply.
chokes, VR tubes, SS vs tube? etc...
maybe a regulated supply... dunno.
a very quiet supply would be good.
ideas?????
voltage needed... hmm.... maybe 150. (perfect for VR tube).
current?... 50mA per channel as a guess.
Thanks for ANY help!

By which I mean, schematic plz.
As a guess, you won't need more than a steaming 15mA per channel, if a channel consists of a single mu stage. 5mA if ran from only 150V (0D3/VR150).

try this:
ok..
look up alan kimmels mu-followers.
He has a design with a triode loaded with a MOSFET configured as a source follower.
In that design there is a resistor that sits on the plate of the triode connected to the mosfet.
Instead of this resistor i was going to put a choke.
My question is this:
I want to run my 6922 at 90v and 6mA per channel.
The mosfet will run at 40mA per channel. with the 6922 at 6mA and a resistor at 34mA.
what would be the best power supply for this?? reliable and quiet and sounds good....
Thanks!

Ummmm......you have a series circuit, current IS EQUAL. You have to have something sinking the extra 34-6 = 28mA if you want to run the MOSFET there.
