power supply for 10m45s

I am finishing a point to point SimpleSE build and I noticed there is no smoothing cap after the 10k that supply's the 10m45. I am not well versed in silicon so I ask; Is this cap not needed in this implementation? Is there no voltage swing over the resistor because the current drawn is constant? Will the addition of a cap make life easier/harder on the 10m45? Thanks for the assistance of a sand novice!🙂

I believe you are talking about the TubeLab's Simple SE amp.

The 10K resistor works like a protection for the 10M45 CCS that does not require bypass capacitor at all. The dynamic resistance of the 10M45 that provides excellent power noise rejection.

Not having looked at the schematic I suspect the resistor is there primarily to reduce dissipation in the 10M45..
