I can assure you, it's a real problem. 😉 😀 J/K, just a joke about potential. It's a problem that can be detected easily with a multimeter (at least the voltage), every tech should have one in his bag. That, of course, doesn't help if the cables/panels are damaged after you tested the voltages.
I make my sound system and power outage is a risk I have to take care. I think of a protection for each flight case: may be an IEC socket with fuse and filter followed by varistance on a board...
That's a nice idea but it implies it's up to the IEC standards (which it's not because you can't change the input) and it can still pose an incredible danger because the varistance on a board will prevent a fuse to flip. The best intentions are often spoiled by a simple, sad fact, unfortunately.

Okay, that wasn't phrased correctly. Yes, it limits the voltage but it can only trigger the fuse by causing a high current. And with a high current of such a high over voltage the varistor is gone. It can save your equipment but not your event.
You seem to have ignored some of the answers. Just because nobody replied to you directly doesn't mean your question wasn't answered. No, not possible for that money and your expectations are unreasonable.
A power sequencer has electronic processing that will reduce reliability compared to an outlet strip.I'm looking for power sequencer/conditioner to run my band's on stage equipment. Want it to be cost effective yet be reliable. The Furman tends to be pricey. I glanced at the Monoprice 15 AMP with 8 outs at about $120 and the ART PS8-II at about $250. Would like to stay under $300 if possible. Any suggestions?
Sequencing can eliminate the noise caused by turning off front end stuff before turning off power amps, but those noises won't hurt your equipment.
The "standard level RFI/EMI filtration" that "conditioners" contain is already included in most gear you use.
If you want to add that filtration and a surge protector, there are plenty available for under $50, like the Furman SS-6B for $35.
The Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV's) that provide surge protection in these devices can also reduce reliability.
