How much is your total budget then? Rather low, I presume. Finding an amplifier has proven enough of a challenge - for speakers it's going to be a whole lot worse. I'd rather have a decent set of active speakers than a barely-passable amplifier + crap passive speakers, if you know what I'm saying.Understood. However, i'm still going to look for a best solution that is possible within budget for an amplifier and setup.
It connects:What is the reason of reterminating?
unbal-signal --> in+
unbal-shield --> in-
instead of
unbal-signal --> in+
unbal shield --> (in- + shield together)
The stock wiring has a ground loop running over the shield, and any advantages of the balanced input are entirely wasted. Rewiring should essentially eliminate all ground loop noise, thanks to actually (partially) making use of the balanced input being such.
This is assuming that the PC is the regular desktop kind or any other that connects its ground to mains protective earth, just like the amplifier would (IEC Class I appliance). Any device that is floating would have to be reined in via a dedicated shield connection to ground first.

One small suggestion: do not quote whole bedsheets of text when answering, unless really needed , doubly so if answering with just a couple lines of text.(and even so).Understood. Do as others do, quote but leave just a line or two, enough to know who/what are you answering to and cut the visual clutter.
Thanks 🙂
I have a setup that consists of a pair of DIY Lance speakers plus an SMSL SA-60 amp that still costs about 250USD all told. This is a very basic but very nice sounding setup for an office or by the computer. Power is 50w class D.
You're in the EU, you should no problem at all sourcing whatever you want.

Okey guys, im not gonna quote. Lets start with why im on a budget. First of all, i have never heard a superior sound system. In order to feel what a really excellent sound is i have to start from the beginning. For the first equipment system i want to setup myself as a somekind of a system which i would have for a selling point. What i mean by that, im going to use that for a expositional point of view, because in Lithuania there is no market for a PA components. If i take something for that has lot of WRms like T.Amp E-800 for 150 euros, I could sell it for the same price, in that case I can hear what does it sound like without spending a lot of money. You could say that is somekind of deception, because im going to setup everything with a knowledge (wires, noise cancelation, etc.). The point of that is that i know that i can buy a cheap subwoofers/loudspeakers for a decent price and sell it with enclosures, which i have place to make, because i'm working at carpentry, so i have practical skills to make enclosures/boxes for the speakers (im not talking about theoretical design, which i need some kind of info, but i can do simulation of simple BR, Sealed,T-Line enclosures). This whole thing is about how to make a proper setup equipment for myself that i could test the things i made and have a customer to listen for the things i made.
I'm not needy. I have Edifier M3600d 2.1 pc system which is enough for me, because neither i'm a power demon or sound quality demon, but i love to make stuff that have the same value as the price. I want to make system that corespond to the quality and the price, thats all i care about at the moment. Tho i can say that edifier m3600d have somekind of weird response in my room for example in one corner of the room you can hear a lot of bass in the order you hear non. As much as i understand it has something to do with the position of the subwoofer, however i tried everysingle angle and i left it at the point, where can i have the most bass/low frequencies at my sitting point behind the desk.
