I've allways wanted to build a good Class A amplifier, but I have never had the time or the resources. ANyways now I have the ability to make one from scratch including circuit boards. I was wondering if anyone could recomend and give a schematic for a hi-fi amplifier somwhere around 100W. Integrated or Power amp is ok. My experience with audio and electronics is high from working in a studio, however brand names, models, and such mean very little to me. I do know that the Mark Levinson I heard at one point in time was amazing. Along with a couple of Krells and a lessor Knakamichi PA-7. Any help I could get would be nice. Thanks in advance.

bi120) 2. Leach amp (designed in georgia,USA ,very reliable)
and 3. Quasi NMOS amps (based on doug self's "blameless",look in [diyaudio])

Just for your info, the Nakamichi PA-7 is not a Class A amp.....
Original bias setting is 40 mA across the emittor resistors (0.33R)

Both of these amps will operate in ClassAB when the current demanded by the load is greater than the ClassA limit.
KSA100 goes to about 400W into 2r0
and
KSA50 goes to about 200W into 2r0.
Creating a Klone can be done for about a quarter of the cost of buying new, but even that is still very expensive and bulky and heavy and hot compared to a ClassAB amplifier.
