What is the preferred alternative to the standard 25 amp bridge? My application is for a 200 watt amp. I can use either discrete devices or a full wave bridge.
Hi,
If that's a mono 200W/4ohm-RMS amplifier, then let's use a 15A/200V bridge. For stereo 25A/200V.
If it's a 8ohm amp, then use 10A/400V for mono, or 15A/400V for stereo.
Regards,

Unless you can hear the differences, otherwise a 35A bridge will do the job rather than using the fast recovery or schottky.

Nor fast recovery, nor schottky. Use "normal" bridges.
