ok 1 tip35 is good and one 36 is good and the other 2 are bad. should i check anything else before ordering parts for this amp?
Follow the circuit back from the bases of the output transistors to find the driver transistors. Check the driver transistors.
do you have a diagram for this amp are they at location Q9 and Q8? are they 1266 transistors? i found 2 of them how many should i be looking for?
I don't have any information on this specific amp. One could be an A1266. If so, the other would likely be a Cxxxx. There are 2 drivers per channel. You only need to check the ones for the blown channel.
i can only find one transistor (per side) when i follow the traces back. will they be close or could they be at the other side of the board? the 2 i found are 1266's. are the 2 im looking for the same dimension as the 1266's? or are they a different size?
and should i replace the small resistors on base leg of the outputs?

Some amps only have the PNP drivers. If you have a diode connected from base to emitter on the 1266, there won't likely be an NPN driver transistor. This applies to the power supply, not the outputs.
If the base resistors for the output transistors are out of tolerance, you need to replace them.
Some of this sounds like it's for the power supply and other questions appear to be for the audio section. Did both sections have problems?
